Wagechi Mutu: Intertwined Tote Bag
From Third Drawer Down
Acclaimed artist Wangechi Mutu (b. 1972 Nairobi, Kenya) works across painting, collage, drawing, sculpture, and film, developing hybrid, fantastical forms that fuse mythical and folkloric narratives with layered sociohistorical references. Mutu's practice consistently challenges the ways in which cultures and histories have traditionally been classified, and proffers new models for a radically changed future informed by feminism, Afrofuturism, and interspecies symbiosis. Adorned with Mutu’s artwork, this cotton tote lets you bring her visionary creativity into your everyday life!
