Little Ugly is a handcrafted patchwork plushie inspired by the Ugly Bitches NFT collection. Made with a mix of cozy fleece and shiny satin fabric, each creature features a custom combination of images and text. The imagery depicts AI-generated dolls, created by training a machine learning algorithm on product images of existing dolls throughout history. The text showcases a collage of comments collected from female influencers’ Instagram posts, where complimentary adjectives have been changed to “ugly” and feminine nouns have been changed to “bitch.” Little Ugly wears her ugliness like a skin. She does not promise to reclaim, empower, or celebrate – she is just being herself.
