Produced in a limited edition of 250, this table brings Barbara Kruger’s bold visual language to Modernica’s iconic Case Study® Collection, a cornerstone of California modernist design. It pairs Kruger’s text with a form built for everyday life, prompting a closer look at the ideas of consumption and desire it names.

Since 1989, Modernica has handcrafted its fiberglass furniture in Los Angeles using the original techniques developed in the mid-twentieth century. Each tabletop is built from eleven layers of laminated hardwood, with the exposed wood edge beveled by hand for a clean, refined finish. Lightweight and versatile, the table is an easy fit for flexible living spaces.

Kruger has long appropriated the language of advertising, publishing, and mass media to reveal how images and words shape the way we see the world. Here, that language lives on a table in your home, extending her work beyond the gallery and into daily life.

Proceeds from this collaboration support exhibitions and public programs at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA).

Limited edition of 250. Individually handcrafted in Los Angeles.
