Barbara Kruger: Untitled (Questions) Hoodie
A black pullover hoodie featuring an original graphic created by Barbara Kruger specifically for the MOCA Store, drawing on her monumental work Untitled (Questions).
Originally commissioned by MOCA in 1989 for the exhibition A Forest of Signs: Art in the Crisis of Representation, Untitled (Questions) was installed in 1990 on the facade of The Temporary Contemporary, now The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. The monumental red, white, and blue work returned to the building in 2018, where its questions about power, freedom, patriotism, and civic engagement remain as relevant today as ever.
For this collection, Kruger revisited the original composition, adding a new question, “WHO DOES THE CRIME?”, and creating her own interpretation of the MOCA logo in her distinctive graphic style.
The hoodie features Kruger’s reimagined MOCA logo on the front and the new composition on the back.
