This selected survey of the work of Vancouver-based Stan Douglas includes three recent films/video projections and approximately 40 color photographs. Douglas combines cinematic techniques with new technologies to produce images that examine history through different viewpoints and pose questions not addressed by more traditional methods. Using the languages of photography, television, and film, Douglas addresses complex issues of colonization, urban development, and mass media.
