A very special collaboration between Los Angeles based contemporary artist Cassi Namoda and Capsule Parfumerie's head perfumer, Linda Sivrican.
Inspired by Namoda’s work, Sivrican created a rich multidimensional scent evocative of Mozambique’s physical landscape and the intrinsic essence of Maria, Namoda’s principal character and lifeblood of her practice.
A luscious woody tropical musk scent composed with deep oud, smoked tobacco, Java vetiver and black tea absolute, softened by ethereal coffee blossoms and hypnotic Egyptian jasmine, recall images of the lush milieu of Mozambique. Notes of Indian Ocean salt, tears of frankincense, African sandalwood, coconut pulp, green mango, Madagascar vanilla, and creamy beeswax express the cultural heart of Maputo, Namoda’s birthplace.
The handcrafted eau de parfum is limited to an edition of 70 bottles, due to the rarity of its precious natural ingredients. Each bottle is one of a kind, adorned with an illustration hand-painted by Namoda.
Through Capsule Parfumerie, a portion of all proceeds will be donated to SAVE THE CHILDREN to aid women and children affected by the recent disaster caused by Cyclone Idai in Mozambique.
