Art Paper Editions new titles

Art Paper Editions is a small publisher operating out of Ghent, Belgium. Ran by Jurgen Maelfeyt and Caroline De
Malsche, APE sees the book form as an exhibition space, one which they carefully experiment with throughout their catalog
by working closely with artists and institutions. We recently caught up with Jurgen at this year's Printed Matter LA Art Book Fair and brought in these three new titles released by APE.

Les Pierres        This title by Jurgen Maelfeyt is a collection of photographs of precious stones, appropriated from various sources                  and mixed with stock photography, compiled together in this beautifully designed and printed book.

A collection of photos by Belgian photographer Stine Sampers. The title ”Under the city lies a sea ” comes from                      a piece Stine Sampers wrote when she was sixteen, “Under the city lies a sea, where all the melancholic find                          their tears.” To her, it still expresses a kind of invisible bond between the inhabitants of a city, and something that                  inspires her to create imaginary plot lines between people.

I Lied is a new collection of photographs by New York-based artist Aaron McElroy. Consistent with his last                               monograph After Wake, this series of photographs sees McElroy continuing to explore the female body and                             notions of sexuality.
